Billabong Sanctuary is an award-winning wildlife park, but did you know that we also offer a venue-with-a-difference for parties, corporate functions and other special events?
Imagine this: It’s nearly dusk and the peace of early evening has settled over the park. Champagne flute in hand, you and your guests make your way to the nearby lagoon. Our intrepid Rangers spin fascinating tales of native wildlife, while carefully preparing a special treat at the end of a long pole.
Suddenly a mighty crocodile surges out of the water and lunges at the chunk of meat. The powerful jaws snap shut with a resounding clap, and the huge reptile slides back into the water. It’s feeding time and your evening has just been kick-started with an adrenalin rush. .
After a few more heart-stopping moments you stroll down a candle-lit pathway to koala peninsula. Here you enjoy a more personal interaction with docile pythons and lizards, and even meet baby crocs up close. For a small additional cost, we’ll take souvenir photos as your guests cuddle a koala or a wombat.
Enchanted by the splendour of the night sky and the reflection of the torches over the billabong, you will now be served a sumptuous meal under the stars. After dinner you may relax to the soothing strains of a string quartet or kick up your heels to a fair dinkum bush band.

At Billabong Sanctuary we cater for a minimum of 30 adults, but are more than happy to organise functions for up to 1000 guests.

Our professional Functions Team can help with a specific theme or special decorations to enhance your evening. Bus transfer packages can be arranged in advance too, so there's no need to designate a driver.
